Hot News: Eco Skoda at Paris Show 2010

Skoda will unveil its next-generation of Greenline models at the Paris motor show at the end of the month.

The new line will see two reworked engines – a 103bhp 1.6 TDI and a 74bhp 1.2 TDI – with stop-start and braking energy-recuperation technology fitted.

The Fabia Greenline and the Fabia Estate Greenline, both fitted with the 1.2 engine, will now emit 89g/km of CO2.

The Roomster compact MPV, which will also use the 1.2 unit, will have CO2 emissions of 109g/km, which Skoda claims is the best in class.

The Greenline models of the Octavia, Yeti and Superb use the 1.6 engine. The hatchback version of the Octavia will emit 99g/km of CO2 and the estate variant will emit 109g/km of CO2.

The Yeti and the Superb Estate have not been previously included in the Greenline range.

The Greenline version of the Yeti will emit 119g/km of CO2, accelerate from 0-62mph in 12.1 seconds and have a top speed of 109mph. Both the Superb and the Superb estate will emit 114g/km of CO2.
