Mitsubishi Flexis Concept

The current generation Mitsubishi Grandis is a good representation of the Japanese automaker as a whole. Plastic-y interiors, underdone ride and handling and anodyne looks combine to make the Grandis a poor substitute for the vastly superior and better selling Toyota Tarago [Australia]. With its South Korean competition having long ago stepped up to the plate, it’s disappointing to see Mitsubishi lagging so far behind.

David Cardoso, the artist who in the past has brought us design studies such as Renault Twist MPV and Audi Hydron, has envisioned a possible successor to the Grandis in the form of the Flexis. Appearing to be smaller than the Grandis - with seating more likely for five instead of seven - the Flexis takes it’s styling cues from the Opel Meriva, Peugeot 3008 and 2012 Ford Focus. Overall it’s a good expansion on Mitsubishi’s current design language, and a far sight better than when Mitsubishi tried applying its new corporate face to the aging Colt. Best Car Accessories for Toowong Mitsubishi

When choosing a car accessory for your MITSUBISHI LANCER, keep in mind that it will have to be installed at some point. I know that seems obvious, but it is easy to get caught up in all of the accessories and forget that you will have to find a way to get it in there. In order to make sure you install your car accessory properly, you will definitely need to get your hands on some instructions. Many times the part will come with its own instructions, but they can sometimes be vague and confusing. You can, if you are having trouble installing your car accessory, contact other MITSUBISHI LANCER owners or check on line for supplemental instruction. No matter how you do it, just make sure that your accessories get installed properly so as not to do damage to the part or to your car. If you are concerned, you can always contact a MITSUBISHI LANCER dealer or car accessory dealer to find out what they charge to install.

A Sound System is very important accessory for your car. You can always install a CD player or a cassette tape into your car, but there are many choices that you can make. There is an accessory that allows you to upload MP3s to it and then broadcasts the MP3 list as a radio station for your radio to pick up. Another option allows you to use a cassette tape accessory to hook the device up to your CD player and broadcast the music that way.

Car cover is another important accessory for your car. Even if your car sits in a covered garage, you'll find that having an extra layer of protection from the elements is a great way to spend a few bucks. A plastic cover can go a long way towards keeping your car in good working order. Mitsubishi Used Cars- The Galant

When you come to think of it, there are not a lot of Mitsubishi used cars in Canada. When researching the brand I didn’t realize that the Mitsubishi Motor Corporation only officially came to Canada in 2003. Mitsubishi vehicles were sold through Chrysler dealerships in North America before Mitsubishi announced it was officially in Canada and the States. Mitsubishi has many different models but we are going to focus on the Galant, a midsize sedan. In 2004 Mitsubishi decided to redesign the Galant, there were two different Galant’s to choose from. You could either have a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder with 160 horsepower or a 3.8-litre, V6, 230 horsepower engine. Both engines only had four-speed automatic.

Mitsubishi Galant used cars:

The Galant in 2007 was redesigned and had changes to both exterior and interior of the vehicle. They also replaced there sporty version of the GTS with the Ralliart model. Mitsubishi boosted the V6 engine to 258 horsepower. The V6 model also replaced the four-speed transmission to a five-speed. The 2007 Galant also added side airbags as a standard feature to all models.

If you’re interested in a newer version of the Mitsubishi Galant like the 2009 version, then you will be happy to know the automaker made some changes to the style of the vehicle. These changes were only done on the exterior and interior of the vehicle, there were no changes done to either engine.

From what I could gather about the fuel economy statistics was that the Mitsubishi Galant had higher fuel ratings than other competitors in its segment. In 2009 the four-cylinder had a 10.2/7.2-litre/100km for both city and highway driving. The V6 engine had a 12.6/8.0-litre/100km for both city and highway driving and the sporty version had a 12.9/8.2 for both city and highway.

Let’s go over some pros and cons of the Mitsubishi Galant:

1- There are problems with the condenser.

2- It has been reported that there are problems with the automatic climate control system.

3- Other things I found reported on the web about the Galant were oxygen sensor issues.

4- Problems with squeaky brakes.

5- It was giving a good rating by The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for a test on frontal offset crashes

6- It also received four stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for driver and passenger protection in frontal crash tests in 2007.

I hope this information helps when looking at the Mitsubishi Galant as your next used vehicle.

If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Mitsubishi used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it only makes sense to buy American used cars for sale.

Akrapovic Adds Some Growl To The Mitubishi Evo X

akrapovic adds some growl to the mitubishi evo x

A few days ago we brought news of a Ferrari 458 Italia that got an extra 11hp just by getting an Akrapovic exhaust system put in, and now we bring you another model that has received the same treatment. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X has had its output bumped with the use of a lighter exhaust system from Akrapovic.
A standard Evo X is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that delivers 295 hp at 6,500 rpm and 366 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. That’s not bad for a sports sedan, but with the new entry level slip-on exhaust system, which is 5 kilos lighter than the stock one, that output has been increased by 11 HP and 9 NM. Move up to the Evolution system, which is 16 kilos lighter than the stock, and the car finds itself with an extra 31hp and 26Nm of torque.
The new slipon exhaust system features a dual “split muffler” design that incorporates a unique cast titanium Y-shaped collector and flange assembly. The casting allows for a higher-flow and is more intricate than using cut and welded tubing. The
The new Evolution System includes the same two titanium mufflers, but adds a high-flow link pipe that bolts directly to the factory down pipe.
