Sneak Peek: 2010 Honda Crosstour

We could express our frustration yet again for the current trend in agonizingly slow vehicle debuts - the notorious teaser photo - but we'll let the first official image of the 2010 Honda Crosstour do the talking for us. Based on Honda's Accord sedan platform, the new crossover is set to debut this fall in North America, but for now, Honda's only willing to show us the front grille.

As an Accord-derived vehicle, the Crosstour is expected to receive that car's pair of 2.4L four-cylinder engines producing 177 and 190 horsepower. The 271-hp 3.5L V-6 from the Accord V6 could also arrive in the Crosstour's engine bay as a top-line option, along with Honda's SH-AWD all-wheel-drive system.

Last month, we showed you a spy image of what the Crosstour should look like when it hits showrooms. Essentially, the crossover will target a similar buyer as Acura's stylish ZDX , which will go on sale this fall, but with a lower cost and Honda family styling. We will bring you more as Honda fills us in on the details.
