Performance West Group Ford F-350 Striker in SEMA

If you thought Ford's Mustang Shelby GT500KR had striking road presence, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Performance West Group has designed a new "King of the Road," based on a dual-rear-wheel Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup. It's called, appropriately, Striker, and it combines the most recognizable styling elements of the GT500KR with the power of Ford's 6.4-liter PowerStroke V-8 diesel.

The Striker is still being built. PWG says it will be painted "Striker Silver" with "Badass Blue" Le Mans-style race stripes running the length of the truck, from the leading edge of the front air dam to the bottom of the rear bumper cover. Hulst Customs is fabricating and installing the Striker's custom bodywork.

Rolling stock will be 24-inch lightweight American Force forged dually wheels, mounted with low-profile Pirelli tires designed for a different kind of hauling than Ford Super Duty trucks typically do.

Diesel guru Gale Banks is working hard to tweak the 350-horsepower and 650 pounds-feet of torque PowerStroke engine for optimal street performance and power.

Inside, Katzkin Leather will match the silver and blue exterior colors with custom leather surfaces and seats, equipped with four-point racing harnesses. The interior will also include matching floor coverings, aluminum racing pedals and auxiliary gauges. Sony is supplying the Striker's audio and video infotainment system.

The Striker will debut this November in Las Vegas at the annual SEMA show, the largest gathering of aftermarket parts and accessories companies in the world.
