Tips 'n Tricks: Change Radiator Coolant



  1. Start the engine until 3-5 minutes, so that cooling system works and filths don't precipitate below the radiator.
  2. Open radiator cover carefully, and then open the radiator's exile hole.
  3. If you want to change the brand of radiator coolant, close the radiator's exile and fill radiator with water
  4. Start the engine until thermostat open. You can see that water circulates in the radiator.
  5. Turn off the engine and wait until 15 minutes, then open the radiator’s exile.
  6. Redo step 3-5, so that the water is clear.
  7. Fill radiator with a new radiator coolant
  8. Start the engine again and put the gas pedal to 2,000 rpm. This is for subtract space between air that is trapped in the system.
  9. Fill radiator coolant again until the radiator is full and close it.
  10. If your car is used bleeding bolts, you just need open it ¼ turnings and let the engine works.
  11. If the air bubbles which is out has changed into water scolding, close the radiator and turn off the engine. It means that the process is done.
